The Nike Lunar Force 1 led the way for this summer’s Lunar lifestyle movement last holiday season, ranging in wardrobe from the classic white-on-white motif to a busy digi-camo colorway. This time around, the Lunar Force 1 goes “Gradient”, baring a ballistic mesh upper and tones of red and blue. Seamless styling remains on this rendition, complementing the wavy, cushy midsole. Look for this “Gradient” take on the Lunar Force 1 to launch on July 1st at select Nike Sportswear accounts.

Haro Bikes x Vans Collection

Haro Bikes x Vans Collection

Renowned cycling company Haro Bikes teamed up with Vans for a limited capsule of sneakers. Checker designs, which are a staple of both brands, are featured prominently on both the Haro Bikes x Vans Sk8-Hi and Haro Bikes x Vans Era. Hues of blue color the canvas and suede material that compose the Sk8-Hi, including a light blue decal on the midpanel. Silver metal eyelets hold white cotton laces, and a white rubber sole is highlighted by red piping. The Vans Era in this collection is colored with bright lime green and vivid royal blue. Made of canvas, checkered print offsets solid coloring on the toe box and heel counter. Royal blue covers the inner lining, and matches the royal blue tracing present on the white sole. The Haro Bikes x Vans Collection also includes t-shirts and snapback hats, which will all be available globally starting July 15.

Vans adds to its lifestyle Off the Wall collection with the Vans OTW Bedford “Tribes”. Grey laces match the grey canvas that wraps the upper of this OTW offering. The monotone look is broken up by a crisp white midsole. A teal colored inner lining is decorated with tribal print, and teal also paints the waffle outsole to add a touch of color to this understated sneaker. OTW branding is present on the tongue and heel labeling, and engraved on the black metal lace eyelets.

New York graffiti legend Stash has a long-running relationship with Reebok. The two have come together once again for a creative collection that will be known as the “City Series”.  The series will give a variety of artists the chance to display their talents on classic Reebok models. Artists EKLIPS from Los Angeles, Wane from New York, Sicksystems from Moscow, Swifty from London,  POSE from Chicago, Da Flow from Mexico City, Rimo from Tokyo, Rae Martini from Milan, , Totem from Atlanta, Tati from Miami, Mad from Philadelphia, and Monster from Paris will all get their chance to shine as a part of this collection. Look for the Reebok “City Series” to begin to hit retailers on July 1.

 While it appears that Titolo has blown their load early on the pre-sale of the HAL x Reebok Classic Leather the proper release date is still approaching. Here are a few new images of the forest green, chocolate brown and cream flavored silhouette with its nubuck and perforated leather build. These are set to hit shelves at Highs & Lows on June 15th with a wider release taking place shortly after and as we already know Titolo had a few but they have all been spoken for. Hit your local Reebok retailer and find out if you’ll be able to claim a pair.

Reebok goes back to a classic as they give us a look at the Reebok Phase II. The shoe made its first appearance as a high performance runner and with the way shoes are transitioning, looks to become a clean combination of suede and mesh for the casual lifestyle.

Maintaining its lightweight and stable build, the Reebok Phase II boast two new colorways. The first pair comes in a blue / red colorway that shows off a blue upper accented with red along the branding and back heel. The second pair makes use of yellow on the upper with blue accents. Both shoes carry a white and grey midsole with a dark grey outsole.

The Reebok Phase looks to release this month over at the Reebok flagship store in Japan. The US has no set release date, but stick with KoF as we bring you more info.

Kanye Reveals Original Concept Behind Nike Air Yeezy

At yesterday’s Yeezus album listening party, Kanye West shed light on the original concept behind the original Nike Air Yeezy. Kanye had the following to say in regard to his signature shoe:

“The concept behind the Yeezys originally was to take the same type of color palette, the same talent that they use for a Lanvin or Balenciagas– $1,200 to $2,000 shoe– and place it to a better sneaker for $300. People reacted to that, they wanted that.”

From there, Kanye discussed his talented team, creative passion and its ability to impact culture. Watch the rest of his speech and hear a preview of the album in the video below.
